Welcome

Somerset has the highest number of food & drink producers in any county of the whole British Isles. Yet our supermarkets and sometimes high-streets don't always make shelf-space for their amazing produce. Our festivals bring together dozens of farmers, growers, chefs & cooks, makers of wine, beer, cider & softer things from the surrounding area to celebrate the seasons in our fabulously productive landscape.

The forward-thinking, can-do Weston way of doing things makes it a brilliant place to hold a festival; we were astounded and delighted this year to be awarded "Businesswomen of the Year" by Weston Chamber of Commerce. So it is with gratitude and respect that we work alongside the businesses which have a permanent base in Weston's heart- the electricians, printers, retailers, booksellers, music venues, bike renovators, business hubs, signage partners, advertisers and sponsors who make the festival possible. This time we are especially proud of the food and drink businesses who were nominated for our first Food Experience Awards- a partnership with the Weston Mercury.

We hope you all have a fabulous day of discovery and see that the festival is an expression of the real character of Weston. You'll also see it in our friendly crew, the Thatcher's Bursary for new traders, the commitment to sustainability. This year we are all single-use plastic free,  promoting low-carbon transport, full of dynamic young people, giving opportunities to new businesses and supported by successful established family businesses. Just like Weston itself. Ever Forward folks!

With love from
Bev and Sarah

Not for Profit We run this festival on a not for profit basis. We are grateful to our traders, supports and grant funders who help us put on this event. We cover the costs of running the festival and plough any surplus into other local food & drink projects.
