eat:Festivals are following WHO and Government COVID-19 advice closely.

We started back on 8 August in Portishead - you can see what happened here (video link).

Here's our COVID-19 Response Plan - you can expect some changes and, as always, an exceptional range of local food & drink.

eat:Festivals are grown from the land around us. They bring the very best West Country food & drink producers and artisans together to markets in town centres across Somerset.

All our producers and entertainers have submitted a covid risk assessment. We have undertaken a review of operations and published our Covid Response Plan.

We provide an opportunity to buy produce from local producers in a well run, safe environment. There have been multiple recommendations and guidelines issued to change public behaviour. We aim to amplify these to demonstrate best practice and support locally led activities.

We have shared with potential visitors our plans for social distancing and safe practices.

  • You are encouraged to do cashless shopping by making contactless payments or click-and-collect with pre-ordering

  • If you choose to come by bus please follow the guidance on using public transport

  • The current recommendations are than 1m+ social distancing is possible if you use a correctly worn facemasks

  • You should aim to keep your market visit simple and short

  • Please use the hand sanitiser stations provided

  • You should stay away if you are displaying symptoms or should be self-isolating

  • Visitors should wash their purchases when they get home

  • Please follow the queuing directions given by our producers

  • Dog friendly - in fact the whole family are welcome.

  • Fully accessible - buggies, scooters, pushchairs all suitable. Extra seating's available too.

  • Always a wide range of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, alcohol free food & drink.  The festivals are designed to provide for all dietary choices.

  • Ethics & traceability as standard. You get to meet the makers and find out all you want to know.

  • Always free entry - no pre-booking, reserving tickets, faffing around.

We trade 10am - 4pm. At all festivals the busiest times are 11 to 2, so if you like the pick of the crop and a bit of elbow room, we recommend that you come early.

As we approach each festival the town page is updated with maps, directions, transport options, accomodation links, accessibility information, listings, timings and much more information. Each festival also has a Facebook Event Page.
